About Me

I am a Portland, OR based licensed mental health therapist and consultant who is on a mission to break down barriers and normalize prioritizing mental health in African-American communities. I attended Portland State University where I received a Bachelors degree in Social Work with a Minor in Black Studies; and a Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Practice and Leadership with Communities and Organizations.

I have over 10 years of experience working in the Social Work field with various communities. I have worked with: children and youth in foster care, preschool, and school-aged children, those who are houseless, people in drug and alcohol recovery, children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, people who identify as LGBTQ, and many more! I love working with many diverse groups and I value how much I have learned from these experiences.

I practice from a strengths-based, attachment-focused, and person-centered approach to support people in their healing journeys. In addition to therapy services, I provide consultation and training focusing on Trauma Informed and Restorative practices, and Racial Equity to school districts, private entities, and organizations.

Fun fact about me: I love the ocean, it is my favorite place!
